The Tainted Covenant searches for the Necronomicon, the so-called Book of the Dead. If they find it, they will finally have the means to raise the sunken city of R’lyeh and release the demonic creature Cthulhu and his hideous horde upon an unsuspecting world. Standing in their way are a disgraced ex-soldier named Gideon and a ragtagged band of heroes, who will fight alongside him to stop the Tainted Covenant from getting their hands on the Necronomicon and prevent the return of Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones.

With dark sorcerers, zombies, supernatural creatures, gods, and powerful interdimensional beings standing their way, Gideon will need to lead his desperate band of misfits to victory or die trying because if they fail, it means nothing less than the end of humanity and the world as we know it.
